About the Artist
I have been painting in the Chicagoland area for many years. My work can be found in numerous public, as well as private collections. Although I work in both acrylic and oil, my preference is acrylic. Drawing is of special interest to me - particularly life drawing.
I have exhibited my work in numerous galleries and art shows including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Koehnline Museum of Art, the Irish-American Heritage Center, and Ponce Studios.
I have been influenced by many artists especially: Vermeer, Van Gogh, Monet, John Singer Sargent, and Richard Schmid, but more recently by Richard Diebenkorn and Quang Ho.
I have had a great many teachers, advisors and generous encouragers over the years especially Joseph Bemi, Gay Riseborough, Ann Ponce, and especially Kate Tully.
